Eligibility Specialist position

Position Summary:

Promote the child care assistance mission – Access to affordable and safe child care is a critical support to families seeking employment, working and/or participating in educational opportunities in order to increase their employability and ultimately achieve self-sufficiency.

This position is responsible for direct case management of child care assistance families including initial applications, financial determinations, maintenance of records, completion of monthly billing and assisting families on available community resources and appropriate referrals.

2 AmeriCorps Vista Summer Associates position

Position Summary:

Summer Associates will help ensure children with special needs or disabilities receive individualized attention, which will have a positive impact on their emotional and social development. SAs will eat family style with the children each day. On Mondays through Thursdays, SAs will serve with teachers to provide high quality early care and learning by directly interacting with children individually and in groups; engage in relationship building with children, staff and families; help teachers with music, math, science and art activities; provide emotional support to children when needed; read to children; play with children indoors and outdoors; language modeling; and playing games. On Fridays, SAs will assist teachers in developing upcoming activities, attend summer training events, help teachers to rearrange room environments and attend staff meetings.

School Age Program at Pearl Creek

Assistant Director position

Position Summary:

Responsible for assisting the director in daily overall operations of the before and after school age program at Pearl Creek Elementary to provide quality services to children and families, in cooperation with the school, management staff and the Board of Directors. Advocate for successful child and family development experiences. Will work directly with children in the classroom daily, ages 5-12. Provide developmentally and individually appropriate activities. Monitor services to children to ensure care, curriculum and nutrition are consistently at the highest quality level possible. Get to know each child and family, develop positive relationships and establish effective communication. Plan and coordinate family events and encourage active involvement by families in the programs. Be a resource and support families in all aspects of their child care experiences. Work split shift as needed to accommodate kindergarten and school age schedules. Assist with financial oversight of the program, which includes developing and maintaining a balanced budget, monitoring enrollments and promoting the program to ensure enrollments are stable and the program is profitable.
